Contest Rules and Regulations
Fall into Style and Fall in Love with Italy
From September 6 to October 24, 2008
1. Participation method
Participants must fill out a participation coupon located in all Mobilia stores. The participants must fill in their name, mailing address, email address, age, and home phone number (with area code). One participation coupon per 500$ spent at Mobilia will be given.
The participants who agree to receive communications on behalf of Mobilia and NetVacations.ca will automatically receive one (1) additional participation coupon in order to win the Grand Prize.
2. Eligibility
This contest is open to the residents of Quebec and Ontario only. To be eligible, participants must be 18 years of age or older. Employees or family members of Mobilia and NetVacations.ca, as well as any person having the same civic address as an employee of Mobilia or NetVacations.ca, cannot take part in this contest. No purchase necessary.
3. Prize description
Mobilia and NetVacations.ca offer a trip for two (2) people to Italy of an approximate value of 10 780$. This prize is valid between April 1, 2009 (first departure date) and October 24, 2009 (last return date), and cannot be exchanged for any other type of compensation.
The trip includes:
- Round-trip flight in economy class for two (2) people
- Departure: Montreal - Rome
- Return: Venice - Montreal
- Direct flights or with connecting flights.
- All lodgings are included as well as some meals and activities, some of which include:
- Four (4) nights double occupancy, including breakfasts, in Rome, in a four (4) star establishment. The specific establishment depends on the travel period chosen by the winner and availability
- Two (2) passes to the Vatican Museum.
- Half-day tour of the city.
- Four (4) nights double occupancy, including breakfasts, during the City of Arts tour in a three (3) star establishment. The specific establishment depends on the travel period chosen by winner and the availability. Included are:
- Three dinners
- Service fees and taxes included
- Transportation by luxury coach
- “Appian Line” assistant throughout the circuit
- Local guides and entrance fees
- One (1) night double occupancy in Venice, in a four (4) star establishment. The specific establishment depends on the travel period chosen by winner and the availability.
The prize includes what is specifically described; no other allowance will be granted. The winner and the accompanying person will be responsible, though not limited to, the following expenses:
- The commute from the residence of the winner to the airport
- The commute from the airport to the hotel
- The commute from the hotel to the airport
- The commute from the airport to the residence of the winner
- Travel insurances (cancellation, health, etc)
- Luggage fees and surcharges
- Tips
- All personal expenses (souvenirs, etc)
- Some meals
The winner and the accompanying person are responsible for carrying their own luggage to airports, hotels, etc. Mobilia and NetVacations.ca are not responsible for any excess luggage or weight surcharges. Mobilia and NetVacations.ca shall not be held responsible for any damage or loss of luggage, nor personal items.
The two (2) tickets must be used simultaneously at the same dates, on the same segments and the same flights by the winner and the accompanying person. The airline tickets will be issued electronically. These tickets are valid only for the dates, times and itinerary envisaged; they can neither be modified, nor exchanged for tickets consisting of different dates, flights or different routes. No change may be made to these tickets after their emission.
The winner and the accompanying person, if necessary, will have to obtain all the required documents at their own expense, such as a valid passport for the duration of their stay. In the event where the winner and the accompanying person are not available since they do not have the required documents to travel, the prize will be cancelled without any form of compensation and a new drawing will take place.
The dates of birth and passport numbers may be required at the time of the reservation. The passports must be valid for a period of six (6) months after the date of expected return to Canada. Canadian citizens born in certain countries may need a visa in addition to their valid passport. A permanent resident's card is required from permanent residents and accepted immigrants who are not Canadian citizens. No change may be made to the reservation after Mobilia opens the file with their supplier.
4. Attribution of the prize
On Friday October 31 2008, one (1) drawing will take place at the Mobilia head office from all the received acceptable participation coupons. The winner will be contacted by telephone or e-mail in the days following the drawing date, and will have to claim the prize according to Mobilia’s instructions within seven (7) days, starting from the date the winner was contacted for the first time. If the prize is not claimed within this time, or if the winner cannot be reached within seven (7) days following the drawing, a new one will take place on November 7, 2008.
5. General rules
The winner and the accompanying person must grant that their names, their images, in particular their photographs and their voices will be used in an advertising campaign relative with this contest, and that, without remuneration.
Personal information, such as the names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and ages are collected only for administrative purposes related to this contest, and will not be used for any other circumstance without consent. By providing this information, the winner and the accompanying person grant the use of their personal information for purposes indicated in the contest rules.
The prize must be accepted as described in the contest rules and cannot be exchanged for any amount of money, nor sold, nor transferred. No substitution will be granted.
In the event of the impossibility of providing the prize as described in the contest rules, Mobilia and NetVacations.ca reserve the right to substitute it, in entirety or partially, for a prize of approximately equivalent value.
The refusal to accept the prize releases Mobilia and NetVacations.ca of any obligation with the winner. Any false declaration on behalf of the winner or the accompanying person will automatically disqualify the individual from the contest.
Mobilia and NetVacations.ca do not assume any responsibility resulting from postal address errors, e-mails address errors, losses, delays, faulty technical operations, data processing, printing errors, software or computer failures, fraudulent calls, or any other error.
Mobilia and NetVacations.ca do not assume any responsibility of any nature resulting from facts or situations outside of their control including, but not limited to, war, natural disaster, strikes, and any work-related conflict in their establishment or the establishments of the organizations or companies whose services are used on behalf of this contest.
Mobilia and NetVacations.ca do not assume any responsibility in the event of loss, injury, sickness or death of any person, nor animal accepted for transportation. The winner and the accompanying person travel at their own risk
The participation in this contest constitutes the acceptance of the contest rules of Mobilia and NetVacations.ca. All decisions are final.
Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des Alcools, des Courses et des Jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement
